About Dr. Cathy Ostroff

I’m Dr. Cathy Ostroff and I’m a chiropractor and functional medicine practitioner with board certification in clinical nutrition.  My true passion and expertise lie in the field of nutrition and nutritional medicine where I focus on helping patients with auto-immune disease and chronic cardiovascular, diabetic, cognitive, and digestive diseases.

We use standard and special testing markers to detect early and hidden warning signs of dysfunction more effectively than conventional lab profiles.  And we seek to understand each person’s biochemical individuality to ensure giving effective, evidence-based advice.

My training began with a BA in psychology and anthropology from Rutgers University. Then, I received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the New York Chiropractic College at the State University of New York.

When nutritional medicine evolved into the more evidence-based specialty named functional medicine, I obtained training and board certification from the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists in 2010. This specialty includes more emphasis on the underlying causes of disease and focuses on the many chronic diseases such as Alzheimer’s that have eluded conventional medicine.

Now for the first time, we have the ability to integrate blood and other new labs, a symptom survey, and comprehensive patient history,  allowing us to find nutritional solutions to many poorly understood health problems.  Through my training, I can offer my patients the most innovative approach to chronic health challenges.
